Katya Lopez
[kah-tee-ya loh-pez] vocals, keys, + bass

1. Katya grew up listening to all types of music from 60's rock to jazz and Brazilian music. She started playing piano when she was about 6. When she was 14, she played in her first Jazz ensemble and formed a punkband.
2. At 17, she took her first Music Theory class and began writing classical pieces. She wrote a piece for a string quartet and piano and adapted it to a full orchestra, which the Oakland's Women's Orchestra performed in 1999.
